Role overview
Our client, a boutique wealth management practice based in Rosebank, is seeking an experienced Financial Services Administrator to support advisers with investment and long-term insurance administration.
The role focuses on new business processing, client servicing, investment transactions and compliance administration within a financial advisory environment.
Key responsibilities
New business administration — Process and submit investment and risk applications accurately and timeously, liaise with insurers and investment houses to track applications through to issue stage, follow up on outstanding requirements, and prepare and issue policy schedules and confirmation documents.
Client servicing — Handle client queries relating to investments and policies, process servicing requests such as beneficiary changes, premium amendments, switches, withdrawals and cancellations, and assist with annual portfolio review documentation and client statements.
Quotations and proposals — Prepare investment and insurance quotations as requested by advisers and ensure they are compliant and correctly recorded.
Compliance and record keeping — Maintain accurate client records on CRM and policy administration systems, ensure documentation meets FAIS and FICA requirements, and assist with compliance reviews and internal administration procedures.
General administration — Liaise professionally with advisers, product providers and clients, and assist with general office administration and operational tasks.
Minimum requirements
- Matric (Grade 12).
- 3–5 years’ administration experience in financial services.
- Experience with investment and long-term insurance administration.
- Exposure to multiple providers such as Allan Gray, Ninety One, Discovery, Momentum, Old Mutual Wealth and INN8.
- Knowledge of retirement transfers, provident fund transfers and Section 14 transfers.
- Strong administrative and organisational ability with high attention to detail.
- Ability to manage deadlines and work under pressure.
- Proficiency in MS Office and CRM systems (Astute, Elite Wealth or similar).
Preferred qualifications
- RE5 preferred, or a willingness to complete it within 12 months.
- Financial Planning or Wealth Management qualification (NQF 4–5) advantageous.
Product-provider exposure
Allan Gray, Ninety One, Discovery, Momentum, Old Mutual Wealth and INN8, among others.
Systems exposure
Astute, Elite Wealth or similar CRM and policy administration systems, plus the Microsoft Office suite.
